The following is intellectual property protected by the Uniform Trade Secrets Act of 1985 for commercial applications (which includes any mathematical consequences of the content). Theoretical claims of more than 3 dimensions abound in academic literature, but objective evidence for such claims have not been confiirmed. The claim here is that the Universe has PRECISELY four spatial dimensions, not more and not less.
FIRST PROOF. These arguments were first proposed and recorded on July 2008.
The 1984 discovery of aluminum-manganese alloy by Shenkman et. al. that exhibited 5-fold symmetry via X-ray crystallography in France and Israel led to the theory of quasi-crystals. This was because by the crystallographic restriction theorem, 5-fold rotational symmetry cannot occur in 3-dimensional regular structures, or crystals. The S4 Group proposes that this is in fact evidence of a nonphysical but electromagnetic spatial dimension.
The four-dimensional crystal symmetries include 5-fold and 8-fold symmetries observed in so-called quasicrystals, which we claim are 4-dimensional crystal structures.
SECOND PROOF. This argument is from March 13, 2009.
In 1802 Ernst Chladni published Die Akustik. He invented an instrument that visually demonstrated nodal lines of glass disks using sand. He gave a lecture on 7 February 1807 that impressed Napoleon who funded a French edition of Die Akustik and announced a prize for a mathematical explanation. In 1815 Sophie Germain won the prize. The definitive treatise on Chladni patterns was Lord Rayleigh's Theory of Sound (1894) using variational principles.
For the proof of a fourth dimension, one only need note the preponderence of 8-fold symmetry in 3-dimensional regular patterns produced by Caymatic experiments that exhibit crystalline regularity.
WHY ARE THESE "PROOFS"?
The alternative hypothesis, of quasi-crystal structures is not the simplest possible explanation of regularity and lead to a more complex mathematical theory, violating Occam's razor.
Second, and more interestingly, Kaluza's program of adding an extra dimension to unify gravity and electromagnetism can be successfully carried out to completion (and we have done that) for a unified physics that can explain both quantum phenomena and simplify gravitational theories enormously.
NIETZSCHE:
Alexander Nehamas analyzes what he terms Nietzsche's "perspectivism" in "Untruth as a Condition of Life" in his book Life as Literature. He points to Nietzsche's claim that "only degrees and subtleties of gradation" separate truth from falsehood and his desire to "laugh at the way in which science precisely at its best seeks most to keep us in this simplified, thoroughly artificial world, suitably constructed and suitably falsified world--at the way in which, willy-nilly, it loves error, because being alive, it loves life"?
Nehamas attribututes to Nietzsche the view that in itself, the world is characterized by features that all our sciences and disciplines, even at their ideal best, necessarily cannot capture, and the world, therefore, is falsified by every single one of these descriptions. In Gay Science, Nietzsche posits a reason for this inability of ours: "We simply lack any organ for knowledge, for 'truth'."
AGAINST NIETZSCHE ON THIS ISSUE:
The key observation of Nietzsche's that supports the perspectivism is that the appearances of the world hide a radically different reality. The proofs above of the existence of a macroscopic fourth dimension gives us a very concrete reason why Nietzsche was right about this: appearances occur, without an open third eye, in three dimensions, while the Universe is actually four dimensional. On the other hand, a macroscopic fourth dimension that can be studied by empirical methods expands the scope of quantitative study of reality to encompass the previously unobserved reality of the spirit, thus giving us a very different reaction to the apparent and true reality by a correct physics capable of describing this.
Physical laws of spirit, or electromagnetic laws of a 4-dimensional Universe can provide precise but quite general description of spiritual reality, for living spirits produce extremely complex behavior that nonetheless must always follow 4-dimensional physical laws.

I've been reading through your blog lately and while most of this is over my head, I am thoroughly fascinated with the information you have presented here. Cheir Harmonie
